HOWOGE allocates rooms for interim use

Looking for a new workshop? As of January 2014, the HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH allocates two large workshop rooms as well as a smaller one for interim use – free of charge!

The new assets in the street Zingster Straße that the HOWOGE acquired this year could really use more colour. The residential estate in Neu-Hohenschönhausen around the streets Prerower Platz, Zingster Straße and Ahrenshooper Straße will be thoroughly redeveloped. Until the beginning of the construction works on the corresponding buildings the HOWOGE offers interested artists the interim use of three business premises.

The rooms, measuring 175, 172 and 39 m², provide the artists – alone or jointly – with space for their creative ideas. The potential workshops are located 30 minutes from the Alexanderplatz in an exciting urban residential estate area. During the last years, the district around the Prerower Platz has established itself as vibrant and family-friendly housing estate. Creative impulses are to contribute to a new "Kiez" feeling (small neighbourhood).

As part of their new art and education initiative "Lichtenberg Open ART" (LOA Berlin) the HOWOGE allocates the premises free of cost – merely the monthly service charges have to be paid by the user. The objective is to make a long-term contribution to the development of the district. The business premises with their display windows invite passers-by to linger and watch.
