Long Night of Pictures in Lichtenberg

Be there on 6th and 7th November 2014!

With the slogan “Discovering Berlin: Art in Lichtenberg”, the Long Night of Pictures is taking place again in the district this year. In the evening hours of 6th and 7th November, not only galleries, studios, workshops and art houses but also museums, libraries and the Volkshochschule (Adult Education Centre) will be opening their doors to art enthusiasts.

The two-day art event comprises a wide-ranging programme: there will be presentations of paintings, graphics, sculptures and photographies in both individual and group exhibitions. Furthermore, the actors involved will be demonstrating the diversity of the art scene in Lichtenberg in vernissages, performances, readings, art discussions and musical performances.

Visitors can experience again the development process of the wall frescoes at the two LOA Berlin major façade artwork locations – Frankfurter Allee 192 and Landsberger Allee 228 B.

At Prerower Platz in Hohenschönhausen, the two studio groups JWD and Studio Zingster 6 are also opening their doors. The artists there are displaying their works – ranging from paintings, via sculptures through to concept art – in two commercial units made available by HOWOGE for temporary use.
