A new art façade for Hohenschönhausen

The LOA Berlin Urban Art Gallery is continuing to expand.

On the occasion of the 30th jubilee anniversary of Hohenschönhausen, a new façade artwork is being created at the Warnitzer Bogen in May as a gift to the district. Don’t miss it – come and talk to the KLUB7 artists.

Fassadengiebel Warnitzer Straße 28

In 2015, the month of May will be dedicated to art: On the occasion of the “30 years of Hohenschönhausen” jubilee anniversary this year, the HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH is presenting the district with a 30-metre high façade artwork. The LOA Berlin Urban Art Gallery, founded in 2012, is thus enriched by yet another artwork – on the “largest screens in the world”.

The motif for the new art façade, entitled “Departure into new worlds”, is the idea of the KLUB7 group of artists. From 6th May, the artistic work is beginning on the gable wall of Warnitzer Straße 28 in Neu-Hohenschönhausen. Set parallel to Falkenberger Chaussee, the new artwork will even be visible from the Hohenschönhausen S-Bahn station.

A colourful supporting programme, consisting of creative workshops at schools lasting several days, cooperations with youth centres and information evenings, will accompany the KLUB7 creative work. A final celebration of the façade-art is planned for 12th June, when the artwork will be officially handed over to the residents of Hohenschönhausen.
The information evenings taking place during the creation of the artwork will be held every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm. Local residents and other interested persons are warmly welcomed to drop by and talk to the artists.
