The 2014 Façade Art Project to start on 16th June in Landsberger Allee 228 B

It's finally happening: On 16th June, the American artist duo JBAK are beginning with their work at the gable end of Landsberger Allee 228 B. Within the space of a few weeks, the two artists James Bullough and Addison Karl are planning to display their design of three human figures arranged one above the other on the over 30-metre high wall of the building. And you can be there.

Live and on-site

The artists will be available to answer questions every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm during the realisation phase of the artwork. They will inform you about their work, the related techniques and the basic idea behind the design. Depending on the weather, the starting point for the information evenings is the open space in front of the gable end of Landsberger Allee 228 B, or alternatively, the art container set up by the Lichtenberg Open ART Initiative (LOA) on the adjacent parking area. All those interested are warmly welcome.

Open workshop

In addition to the weekly information evenings, an open creative workshop for children and young people will be held on 16th June from 2 pm to 6 pm. This will provide the opportunity to try out practically what was learnt as theory beforehand. Those of you, who have always wanted to learn how to use spray cans and stencils properly, are very welcome to come along and join in. Registration is not necessary.

September farewell party

To fit in nicely after the end of the summer school holidays, a big façade party is planned for the 5th September, which all local residents and those interested can take part in. We want to celebrate the completion of the artwork together and show how diverse our "Am alten Wasserwerk" local neighbourhood really is.
