LOA Façade Festival on 5th September 2014

Lichtenberg is now one artwork richer – and this we are going to celebrate.

Find out more about the LOA Berlin Initiative and the newly designed façade artwork in Landsberger Allee. Enjoy a programme of entertainment for the whole family with live music from the cult polka-rock band Polkaholix plus many activities for children to take part in.

On Friday, 5th September, LOA Berlin is celebrating the official inauguration of the façade artwork in Landsberger Allee 228 B, at the corner of Vulkanstraße. As founder of the LOA Berlin Art and Education Initiative, HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH is organising a façade party directly on the spot and will be celebrating with local residents and all Berliners who are interested.

This year’s façade artists, the artistic duo JBAK, will be presenting themselves as well as their work. The Lichtenberg Youth Art School is organising a workshop on graffiti art, inviting interested visitors to do their own creative thing on the graffiti wall. The live art is supplemented by an exhibition of all the works of art previously created from several holiday and school workshops with children.

In the LOA Centre, visitors can learn everything about the themes “LOA Artists”, “LOA Kids” and “LOA Partners” as well as witness the creation of a mural painting in the LOA Cinema. There is a particularly good view to be had from the roof terrace of the LOA Centre, while in the LOA Photo Studio you can become part of the “totem”.

A cool stage programme with the Suli Puschban children’s band, sport acrobatics from the Berlin Olympic Gymnastics Club, “The Third Drumstick” percussion ensemble from the Lichtenberg Music School and the polka rock band Polkaholix will ensure plenty of fun for everybody. Food and drink stands will take care of the visitors’ physical well-being.

The event is free of charge and will take place in the open-air.
